3D Electrolux Movie Theater

The conference room and 3D cinema are in the historic Electrolux Italia headquarters in Porcia, Pordenone province.
The hall was built to host private screenings for the company’s employees and customers during product presentations.
The auditorium, which can accommodate 112 spectators, is developed with a curved silhouette that starts from a broader base and narrows in height to appear suspended.
A central plinth highlights the two wings, achieving visual suspension. A vertical light at the base, located below the first tier of seats, further emphasizes this.
The tiered stalls, whose thickness on the end parts is deliberately reduced to emphasize the structure’s visual lightness, are contained laterally by transparent glass parapets inserted and fixed on the end part of the tier without the aid of vertical uprights.
The stalls’ structure consists of vertical iron elements covered with wooden elements. Under the central spine of the structure, equipment and furniture for the bar and checkroom functions are located.
The seats, which can be folded down and are made of fireproof fabric, are equipped with a retractable writing tablet (some left-handed tablets are provided) and complete with armrests.
The first row of seats is placed directly on the floor, not on the step, facilitating access for people with limited mobility or disabilities.
Considering the room’s dual function, the lighting has been designed to be modulated as needed, with dual lighting and dimmable fixtures.
