MT House
This Milanese apartment was renovated to suit the needs of a young couple.
The primary limitations highlighted in the situation were the somewhat cramped kitchen and a long, narrow bathroom.
After analyzing several hypotheses, we left the living room in its original position, both because of its interesting geometry and because it overlooks the terrace. Annexing the small adjoining bedroom, we made the living room more prominent and created an open kitchen.
In the sleeping area, we created a large bedroom and, by redistributing the old bathroom and kitchen, made a bathroom of more comfortable proportions, a study, and a laundry room.
We decided to fill the alcoves in the hallway with custom-made closets to accommodate the landlady’s need for storage space, embellish the entrance hallway with beautiful wallpaper, and make it functional with a large closet.
